The VSSX hand held salt meter does not measure salt as a percentage of total mass.
It produces a reliable but relative reading against a taste/appearance standard and batch analysis results that are acceptable.
Once this reading has been determined it becomes the datum point against which a product is tested, making it an easy decision in online or in situ quality control.
